Consultancy service to carry-out a Mid-Term Review of the Peace Building and Inclusion for All project – July 2017
ADD International Uganda program in partnership with National Youth Organization for Development (UNYODP) and National Union of Disabled Person in Uganda (NUDIPU) are implementing a three-year (Oct 2015-Sept 2018) Action entitled “Peace Building and Inclusion for All†in the Rwenzori region with co-financing from Delegation of the European Union under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
This action whose major Goal is “promote peaceful co-operation of members of ethnic minorities and marginalized groups, using disability inclusion as a model for building respect for human right, democracy and inclusive development in Rwenzori region†has the following objectives (SO); (SO 1): Strengthen local structures and systems so that they can play a role in peace building by embedding conflict sensitivity and a disability inclusive approach in the design and implementation of their human rights and development programmes. (SO 2): Equip children and youth with conflict transformation skills to build the foundation for a peaceful and inclusive society in the Rwenzori region (SO3): Contributes to a shared understanding of the past history of violence and of the roles of duty bearers in conflict transformation and social inclusion to rebuild trust between the communities and their leaders.
