The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to cover eligible payments under the contract for Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Kigoma, Tabora, Shinyanga and Sumbawanga Airports; Lot I Further Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Kigoma Airport, Tender No. AE/001/2016-17/HQ/W/92 2
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), an Agency of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication hereinafter referred to as the Employer now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Kigoma, Tabora, Shinyanga and Sumbawanga Airports; Lot 1: Further Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Kigoma Airport, Tender No. AE/001/2016-17/HQ/W/92, 3. The works consist of landside pavement works and apron expansion works along with runway lighting and NAVAIDS package. The estimated quantities of works are:-
1 General Excavation
2 Filling
3 Landscaping
4 Car Park complete
5 Access Road complete
6 Apron expansion
7 Construction of Terminal building, Construction of Control Tower, Con- struction of Storm Water Drainage Systems, Installation of AGL & NAV AIDS, and Construction of Electrical Sub-Station. N/A N/A
4 To qualify for award of the contract, bidders are required to meet minimum qualifying criteria including.-
a) Average annual turnover calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within the last five years should be at least TShs. 26.0 billion,
b) Minimum of TShs. 110 billion million as access to or availability of financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, lines of credit, and other financial means, other than any contractual advance payments,
c) Participation as Contractor, management Contractor, or subcontractor, in at least two (2) contracts having the minimum amount of TShs. 13.0 billion within the last seven (7) years, that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed Works.5. Bidders are required to provide full and detailed particulars of their financial capability to perform such works and to demonstrate that they have experienced key personnel with appropriate qualifications. Bidders should also note that the works must be completed within 540 days including mobilisation period.

10. The deadline for submission of Bids shall be on 20'" December 2017 at 10:00 Hours local time. Bids will be opened in public in TANROADS Conference Room, 4th Floor, TANROADS Headquarters, Airtel House, All Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads Junction, Dar es Salaam, immediately after submission deadline and in the Presence of Tenderers' representatives who choose to attend.
