The Soroti Municipal Council has allocated funds from Government of Uganda, and local revenue. Soroti Municipal Council intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds towards the cost of works, provision of services and supplies for FY 2017/18.

The Soroti Municipal Council now invites suitably qualified bidders to submit sealed prequalification submissions/bids for works, supplies and services for the financial year 2017/2018. Open bidding will be conducted in accordance with procedures as specified in the public procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act 2003(as amended) and is open to all bidders as indicated below:

CATEGORY A: OPEN BIDDING: SUPPLIES (FRAME WORK CONTRACTS)

CATEGORY B: OPEN BIDDING (REVENUE TENDERS) & RESERVES

00024/Native Liquor Northern Division (125,000pm)

00028/Small markets Northern division (500,000pm)

00030/Taxi park Places of convenience (500,000pm)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

1. Applicants should attach the following.

a) Name and Address of Directors including Colored Passport Size Photograph of main director.

 b) Name and Address of business (postal and physical address including Telephone numbers)

 c) Copy of valid Transaction Tax Clearance Certificate (TTCC)

d) Financial status of the firm (Certified Bank Statement from Oct —Dec 2017).

e) Copy of Certificate of Incorporation/Registration/Article and Memorandum of Association/Copy of Practicing Certificate/ Copy of Dealers License [Where applicable]. f) Certified copy of Valid Trading License.

g) Powers of Attorney (Refer to specific biding document)

 h) Evidence of past performance

 i) Original receipt of payment.

 j) Evidence of equipment/machinery (hired/owned) where applicable.

K) Staff profile (Include/attach names, qualification papers and roles).

 l) Bid security 2.8m & 6m in form of Bank Guarantee is required for; Offloading and Lost Cost Sealing respectively.

 2. Bidders/applicants are required to pay non-refundable fees to Stanbic Bank, Soroti Branch General Fund Account No. 9030005798824 as follows;

a) Category A &B Ugx: 50,000

b) Category C and D: Ugx: 100,000

3. All items must be applied for separately with separate general receipt.

4. Check the bidding documents for details of other requirements.

5. Bidders are free to apply for more than one item

6. Upon presentation of Bank pay slips and after verification, a bidder will be issued with the general receipt to that effect by the Municipal Cashier thereafter a solicitation document may be obtained from the office of the Head of Procurement and Disposal Unit on presentation of original General receipt

7. All bids must be sealed and hand delivered clearly marked Application for Bid for ... F/Y 2017/2018" and addressed to the Head of, Procurement and Disposal Unit Soroti Municipal Council, P.O. Box 109, Soroti, Main Administration Building – Ground Floor.
