Uganda Wildlife Authority, (UWA), is a statutory body established in 1996 with the mandate to ensure sustainable management of wildlife resources so as to benefit the communities and peoples of Uganda and global community. Through sustainable conservation principles, the natural resources in the protected areas generate benefits for current and future generations.

In order to generate resources to support conservation, Uganda Wildlife Authority is letting out a commercial building commonly referred to as 'Caldera House' situated on Plot 23, Wanale Road, Mbale Town to suitable organizations or persons interested in utilizing the property under a tenancy agreement.

This building is strategically located within Mbale Municipality, Senior quarters neighboring Mt. Elgon Hotel and Crown Suites.

The property can be used for: office space, training institutions, hotel and catering services, bar and restaurant or any other lawful purposes as one may wish.

Facilities: The facilities at this premise include: 10 self and non self-contained rooms, provision for Offices, a Bar, Business Area/Internet Cafe, restaurant, open gardens and ample parking space. Staff housing units are also provided within the same compound.

The properly is well fenced, and connected with power and water, with a provision for adequate water storage.

Proposal

Interested persons or organizations, wishing to rent this property from Uganda Wildlife Authority, should make arrangements to visit the property in Mbale and thereafter submit their proposal, based on the evaluation criteria, to be obtainable from the Procurement Manager at UWA Headquarters Plot 7 Kira Road Kampala or from the Chief Warden, Mt. Elgon Conservation Area at UWA Offices in Mbale Town, Plot 19121 Masaba Road.

Proposals expressing interest to rent the premise must be specific on mentioning the bidder's purpose for utilizing the premise.

Proposals should be sent before 13. March 2018, by 11:OO am.

Terms: The successful bidder will sign a tenancy agreement with UWA for the period of tenancy. The tenancy period is 5 years, renewable on successful tenancy relationship.
