The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly and mandated by the United Nations to lead and coordinate international action for the worldwide protection of refugees and the resolution of refugee problems. In order to support its operations, its Sub Office in Adjumani is seeking for reputable and reliable companies to carry out construction works, opening of 3.5km road and extension of piped water system in Moyo, Lamwo and Adjumani Districts under the Refugees and Host Population Empowerment (ReHoPe) Programme. Sealed bids are invited from reputable and reliable construction companies who are duly registered with the Government of Uganda, Valid Tax Compliant and have previously done similar works.

Tender documents for the above projects should be picked from UNHCR Offices, District Local Government Offices as well as District Engineers' Offices in Adjumani, Lamwo and Moyo Districts. Sealed bids to be submitted as per the guidelines in the tender document.

Qualified and interested Firms will be required to collect a complete set of tender documents available free of charge at above addresses.

EQUALLY QUALIFIED, REPUTABLE AND RELIABLE CONSTRUCTION FIRMS/COMPANIES FROM THE REGIONS WHERE THE PROJECTS ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT TENDER DOCUMENTS.

Late submission of bids or bids not conforming to the tender document and conditions therein will not be consider UNHCR reserves the right to reject part or whole offers without assigning any reason whatsoever and will not be obliged to select the lowest offer.
