Mercy Corps is a registered International Non Governmental Organization that has been operating in Uganda since 2006. Working in cooperation with communities to help build local capacity and support for economic development, Mercy Corps provides creative, transferable solutions through targeted emergency assistance, capacity building, and community driven development.
With funding from United States Agency for International Development - USAID, Mercy Corps is implementing a five year USAID Food for Peace Apolou Activity to improve food and nutrition security in the Karamoja Region. The program seeks to create sustainable progress in the region through four interrelated objectives (1) Inclusive and effective governance (2) improved health and nutrition (3) Improved WASH conditions and (4) adolescent specific capacity development. Mercy Corps envisions a flexible cash based transfer solution that would strengthen our ability to make sustainable market-led changes across multiple sectors.
Mercy Corps invites eligible companies, partnerships to submit proposals to provide services for establishing and implementing / managing a cash based transfer platform.
